It all started back in 2018 when our very own Emelie Jensen aka Tomodachi Island presented her Dawn Dusk Twilight custom Coarse Omens. transforming COASE Omens into something else whilst keeping the OMENS signature silhouette. Emelie added extra sculpt but without making the OMEN unrecognisable and Now fast forward to the present day, Emelie presents 2020, Nature’s Touch OMENs. Must more grown-up feel to these Nature’s Touch OMENs, compared to the 2018 Dawn Dusk Twilight customs. The DKE Toys Archive Auction is set to make history as master collector Dov Kelemer presents the world’s first stand-alone sale of designer and art toys from dozens of artists, designers, and creators.
The DKE Toys Archive event is filled with collectible works created from the inception of the designer toy scene in the early 2000s until today. This is not only a history of DKE Toys but a chronology of the designer toy movement. Its breadth only reflects Kelemer’s wish to give fellow collectors access to the hobby’s most sought-after works – among them 2002’s Invasion Kit #1: Albinos by Invader, which is considered a seminal piece by street-art collectors.

More than three dozen lots of his pieces are highlighted in this event, among them are complete sets of his landmark large scale bust series, Ho Chi Minh (set of 12, 2007), Dead Che (set of 13, 2010), Ludwig Van (14 color ways offered individually, 2008), Gipper (set of 13, 2012), and Big Army Man (set of 11, 2009). Here, too, collectors will find his painted fiberglass stool Stache Happy Labbit Stool (White), a recent piece, and one of his most iconic Kidrobot offerings, RedRum Dunny from 2008.

Ron English is here in collaboration with The Showroom NYC for 2004’s MC Supersized (Glow in the Dark). That was the same year the artist created the character, based on a certain fast-food mascot, for director Morgan Spurlock’s documentary Supersize Me. In due time, bootlegs of MC Supersized became wildly popular in China; this one, of course, is the real deal.

Graffiti artist Futura, who once made subway stations his canvas and shared stages with the Clash during the band’s 1981 European tour, remains the rock star of the art toy world. Heritage is thrilled to include in this event one of each of his iconic painted vinyl pieces from 2005: Nosferatu. The auction will also feature Futura X adFunture’s circa-2008 collaboration FUTURA Tag.

Classic still life paintings have always been in our blood. As young artists, we looked up to still life masters like Matisse and de Heem as we sketched the world around us, turning the ordinary into art.
Harvest – A still life. [18” / 45 cm] is an homage to these iconic works, and with 16 individual figures and one fruit bowl it is our most complex vinyl sculpture to date. The arrangement depicts noop and paw! as they look back on their lives and all the versions of themselves they once were. The annual harvest will soon take noop away to an unknown fate, and he clings to his memories in one final wave of nostalgia before leaving his home forever.
Sets are modular, enabling you to arrange each sculpture in, on, or around the included fruit bowl so you can create your own still life. An interlocking web of stories and dimensions spanning the lives of noop and paw! fills the bowl, which can be displayed as the centerpiece of any dining room table.
The sculpture comes in two unique editions. Lush finds the past lives of noop and paw! in the vibrant colors of ripening fruits as the duo remembers better days. Pain captures the sculpture in monochrome with signature red blood drips as noop says goodbye to the world that will go on without him.
Sets comprise up to 16 sculptures including 12 noop and paw! seedlings in various forms, one despondent noop, one repentant paw!, one branch of c-o-a-r-s-e leaves, one Locks grape bunch, and a fruit bowl engraved with nism tentacles, representing the separation between earth and sea. Each set comes in a color printed gift box and is safely embedded in black sponge.

To kick off the week, COARSE x JPX has released the details of the anticipated release of 7″ Mambo and 3.5″ Little Bandit Showdown editions from the Animal Parade series! Rules for registration
1. Take a photo of yourself holding an identification card (use the sticker or paper to close your ID number)
2. Add text to the centre of the photo, “use for Kwaii auction only”
3. Your phone number
4. Send the picture with the conditions in no. 1 & 2 along with your phone number via FB messenger to JPX Facebook page HERE. They will allocate a bidder number for the auction
5. All information will be kept confidential
How the auction works:
1. JPX will broadcast LIVE via the JPX Facebook page and put each item for auction
2. Those who would like to place a bid for the item in that round will have to send the bid price via FB messenger via JPX Facebook page
3. JPX page will announce the highest bid price with the number according to bidder in FB Live simultaneously
4. When the auction of each item is ended, the winning bidder MUST transfer the money within 10 minutes. If he/she does not do so, he/she will be disqualified and the item will be auctioned again

TURNING IT UP is Philippines based artist Lee Aller of Lab Monkeys! The mastermind behind the Saru has been selected to work on COARSE “PAW” which itself is a work of art and still to this day regarded as one of COARSE iconic releases. Lee works his magic and given the PAW a totally different vibe and look whilst in keeping with the PAW signature pose. Meet PAW DMC! homage to Hip Hop legends Run-DMC. Ain’t no simple custom, Lee went all out from the clothes to the kicks the PAW has that all-important attitude and style.
Got to hand it to Lee, he’s really turned it up a notch with the custom work, those kicks and the crisp and clean paintwork!
